The deadline for submitting individual tax returns in Australia is usually October 31st of the following financial year. For example, if you are filing your tax return for the 2022-2023 financial year, the deadline would be October 31, 2023.

However most registered tax agents have a special lodgement program and canlodge returns for their clients after the usual 31st October deadline.  The due date for your tax return will depend on your personal situation as well as when you engage your tax agent.

If you're using a tax agent for the fist time, or using a different tax agent, you should contact them before the 31st Octobe to be part of their lodgement program due dates.
